James joined Messer & Fort in 2025 and focuses on municipal court prosecution and handling public information act requests. James also assists the firm’s clients with ordinance drafting, contract review, real property matters, hotel occupancy tax enforcement, and interpreting new legislation.
James was born and raised in Lubbock, Texas. James enjoys spending time with his friends and family, working out at the gym, playing video games, trying new recipes with his girlfriend, and tending to his large houseplant collection.
