PRACTICE DESCRIPTION

Ashley worked for ten years as a Municipal Court Administrator and Supervisor over the 9-1-1 Communications center for the City of Van Alstyne. During her employment with Van Alstyne, she attended law school at the Texas A&M School of Law in Fort Worth as a part-time student. During school Ashley served as a senior editor on the Texas A&M Property Journal, interned at the Grayson County District Attorney’s Office, and at the Rockwall County District Attorney’s Office. After graduation Ashley became an assistant city attorney with the City of Van Alstyne where she prosecuted for the Municipal Court, processed public information act requests, attended City council meetings, and worked on various general matters under the supervision of the city attorney. She has served since 2013 as a faculty member for the Texas Municipal Courts Education Center where she has presented on several different topics and developed curriculum for Municipal Court Clerks.

Personal

Born in Dallas, Texas. Ashley grew up in Rowlett, Texas and graduated from Lakeview Centennial High School in Garland. She is married to a detective from the Balch Springs Police Department, has one son and three step sons. She lives in the north DFW area and is a sixth generation Texan.
